I am on a roll this week. It has been a while since I have been totally stoked with a shoot. But last Thursday I shot a story that I love love love and can’t wait to see the results. Helping, was the fact that I love the team. Make up artist and hair extraordinaire Rachel Montgomery, Photographer Rory Fink, my fabulous assistant Nicole and amazing model, Sam at Chic. I was really happy with my styling and adored the hair Rachel did. The look was black widow meets Parisien chic. Below are a few behind the scenes shots.
Today I am at Sun Studios shooting another editorial with another great team. Photographer Michael Cook, Hair and Make up by the fabulous Mandi Levanah and two gorgeous models from Viviens. First half of the day is a black clothing story with sharp bursts of colour in jewellery and shoes. I made all the jewellery using semi-precious stones such as coral, turquoise, rosequartz and amazonite. Poor model, they are so incredibly heavy. This afternoon we are shooting vintage swimming caps that I have been collecting mainly in London for years. some sneaky snaps below.

Eeek. I have spent many years as a Fashion Stylist behind the camera. And that is where I would like to stay. But today I had some shots taken by a photographer friend, Rory Fink and it was actually alot harder than I have ever given models credit for. I had been asked by StylePalace.com to provide a photo of me for when they launch ‘Lydia Jewels’ on their site. So I thought why not. My fabulous make up artist friend Rachel Montgomery (remember this name, she is going to be huge) offered to make me up and off we went. Now if I could employ her to do my make up every day I would – this bit I loved.
