Official Press Release from Sweaty Betty PR

EXOTIC JEWELS OF THE NIGHT FROM LYDIA

Exotic Asian shades, regal touches, and decadent dark gems – the latest collection from Lydia Jewels will whisk you from grey winter days in the city, to the remote tropical beaches of Thailand.

‘Jewel of the Night’ is the third stunning collection of accessories from Sydney designer and stylist Lydia-Jane Saunders. Renowned for her vintage-inspired pieces, which include bridal collections and bespoke items, Lydia has moved into darker territories this season, fusing her signature old Hollywood glamour with striking Asian culture.

Influenced by a recent sojourn to Thailand, ‘Jewel of the Night’s pieces including rosary bead necklaces, elegant drop earrings and on-trend chunky bracelets, crafted from Swarovski crystals and semi-precious stones including Amber, Onyx and Pink Quartz.  Black and jewel tones give the collection a gothic edge, while highlights of ruby, emerald, pink and amber add splashes of colour.

While the collection leads with brand new designs, Lydia has included a few classics – namely her crystal flower earrings which are a huge hit with her fashionista customers. And staying true to her previous collections, each piece is named after a lady – with the latest additions including Aggy, Bella, Edie and Matilda.

Her third collection marks an exciting 12 months for the 29-year-old designer – Lydia took top prize for Best Accessory Designer in the recent 2Threads Fashion Awards, and her jewellery was chosen by Australian singer Jessica Mauboy to complete her red carpet look.

Channel your spiritual side with ‘Jewel of the Night’ – the range is priced between $50 and $199 and is available online at www.lydiajewels.com

She looked amazing.

Thanks Jessica xx
