About

Uniquely Australian and uniquely glamorous jewellery label Lydia Jewels is once again causing a stir amongst fashionistas and Sydney’s glitterati as it makes its dazzling return to the Australian fashion scene.

Since the founding of the eponymous jewellery label, nearly five years ago, Lydia-Jane Saunders’ innovative designs have adorned some of Australia’s most-watched, and best-dressed style mavens. Now, after a 3-year break that saw her enjoy an international fashion styling career, Lydia Saunders has revived her much-loved jewellery label – much to the delight of well-heeled Australian women.

Each piece in this opulent line of earrings, necklaces, bracelets, rings and brooches is meticulously handcrafted by the designer using a glittering myriad of precious gems, semi-precious stones, Swarovski crystals, and vintage treasures personally collected by Saunders throughout her many travels. Saunders also enjoys taking apart old Chandeliers and utilising the crystals. Using the rose, the enduring symbol of love, romance and beauty as the inspiration behind the first collection of the revitalized line, Saunders said she wanted to create a line that was luxurious yet accessible.

“I wanted to evoke the glitz and romance of old Hollywood in this collection.” said Saunders. “ I design for the red carpet, and for the woman who wants to take a little piece of that red carpet glamour with her on any occasion, be it a night on the town or even a day of shopping with girlfriends.”

Highlighted by hues of deep purple, Amethyst, dusty rose, ruby red, Onyx and Turquoise, each piece is captivating and versatile and reflects the nonpareil elegance of today’s modern, international woman.

Previously featuring in London’s celebrity fashion haunt, Koh Samui, and local favourites such as Orson and Blake, Lydia Jewels are now available at Bulb in Double Bay and Becker Minty in Potts Point. Over the coming months, pieces will be available in more selected boutiques and online at www.lydiajewels.com.

Lydia is also a Fashion Stylist.
